One Two: the don't-say-it-at-the-same-time game, online
You know the party game where a group counts up with no set order and anyone who says a number at the same time as someone else is out. One Two is the on-screen version: after 3-2-1 a single button appears on everyone's screen and each player presses it once per round.
Press within 0.3 seconds of someone else and you are both out, ending the round. If nobody clashes, the last to press is out. With two players left it turns into a duel: wait for FIRE!, the first to press wins, and pressing early loses.
It plays with 3-12 people and takes about 5 minutes. Create a room on Toyla, share the code, and friends join from a phone or computer. Perfect as a warm-up or a quick rematch at the end of the night.
The rules take ten seconds to explain, and everyone can play right away.
Rush to go first and you clash; wait too long and you are last.
A live counter shows how many have pressed and who is still in.
The host picks 1, 3 or 5 hands.
How to play
Goal
Don't be last, and don't press at the same time as anyone. The last one standing wins the hand.
3-12 players; the host picks 1, 3 or 5 hands.
The round
After 3-2-1 the big button appears. Everyone presses once per round.
Each press bumps the counter and shows who pressed; watch how many are left.
When only one player is left, they get just a second and a half; not pressing burns.
Who burns?
Press at the same time as someone, less than 0.3 seconds apart, and you're both out, and the round ends right there. Nobody else is out; players who hadn't pressed yet are safe.
Presses after the clash don't count.
If nobody clashes, the last one to press is out, and so is anyone who doesn't press before time runs out. If everyone clashes together, nobody is out and the round is replayed.
Last two: the duel
When 2 players are left in a hand, a duel replaces the last-to-press rule.
After 3-2-1 the screen says WAIT…; a few seconds later FIRE! appears. The first to press wins the hand.
Pressing before FIRE means you jumped the gun and lose. If you both jump the gun, the duel is replayed.
Points
+1 for every player knocked out before you in a hand. The hand winner gets one point for everyone else at the table.
Players knocked out in the same round get the same points. Most points after all hands wins.
Tip: if everyone rushes to be first, you clash; wait too long and you're last.
FAQ
Is this the count-to-ten game?
It is the same idea: everyone tries to read the group, and two people acting at the same moment are out. In One Two you press a button instead of saying a number, and clashes are measured to 0.3 seconds.
How many players can play?
3 to 12 players, and a game takes about 5 minutes.
How does scoring work?
You get 1 point for each player knocked out before you in a hand. The hand winner scores one point per other player at the table. After the last hand, the highest total wins.
Is it free?
Yes. One Two is free and runs on any phone or computer browser, with no download or sign-up.
