The pen-and-paper classic, now in your browser. Each round a letter appears and everyone fills in a name, city, animal, plant and thing starting with it. The first player to fill everything shouts “Stop!” and the others get 10 seconds.
Create a room, share the link, and friends join from their phones or computers. 2-10 players, about 15 minutes a game. The host picks the number of letters and can add extra categories like country, job, celebrity, brand, food or movie/show.

How to play
Goal
Fill the categories with words starting with the letter, as fast and as original as you can.
2-10 players; the host picks 3, 5 or 8 letters and extra categories.
1. Write
When the wheel stops, the letter is set. Name, City, Animal, Plant, Thing (plus any extras) must start with it.
Fill everything and shout “Stop!”: the others get 10 seconds and submit with “Submit”. If nobody does, time runs out at 90 seconds.
2. Check
The host runs the results: “Reveal Name” opens everyone's Name answers one by one in submission order, then “Reveal City”… Empty answers and wrong letters are removed automatically.
Tap “Object” on dubious answers (“is that really a city?”). If more than half of the other players object, it scores 0.
If two answers are the same but spelled differently (Pheonix / Phoenix, Van / Lake Van), tap “Same” and pick the match. If more than half of the players other than the two authors agree, both count as the same answer and score 5.
Points
If yours is the only valid answer in a category: 20.
An answer different from everyone else's: 10; the same as someone's: 5.
Most points after all letters wins.

How do you play Name Place Animal Thing online?

How is it different from Scattergories?
It's the classic letter-and-categories format: one letter per round, fixed categories you choose, and a “Stop!” rule. Toyla is an independent game with no official connection to Scattergories.
What about made-up answers?
Empty answers and words with the wrong letter score 0 automatically. Players can object to dubious answers; if more than half of the others object, the answer doesn't count. Players can also merge answers that are the same but spelled differently (Pheonix / Phoenix) with a “Same” vote; both then score 5.
