Sketch Race: the online drawing and guessing game for friends
Sketch Race has two modes. In Solo mode it's everyone for themselves: each round the next player picks one of three words and draws it while everyone else types guesses. Guess early to score big, and the artist scores for every player who gets it. No teams to set up, and it works with as few as 3 players.
Correct guesses are never shown, the feed just says “Sam got it!”, and anything a solver types afterwards is only visible to the artist and other solvers, so nobody can leak the word. If you're very close you'll see “So close!”, the blanks show the word's length, and a few letters appear as the clock runs down.
In Team mode the room splits into Red and Blue: each round both teams' artists draw the SAME word at the SAME time, the first team to get it scores +2 and the other +1. The rival drawing stays hidden during the round, you only see whether they've got it, and both drawings are revealed side by side at the end. Made for fans of Gartic- or skribbl-style drawing games; Toyla is independent and not affiliated with those games or their owners. Create a room, share the link, and everyone joins from a phone or computer.

How to play
Two modes
Solo (everyone for themselves): 3-12 players, no teams needed. One person draws each round, everyone else guesses.
Team: 4-12 players split into Red and Blue. Each round both teams' artists draw the same word at once while teammates guess.
The host picks the mode in the lobby settings. In both modes, NO letters, numbers or symbols: pictures only!
Same room? The artist doesn't talk or act it out: let the drawing do the talking.
Solo: drawing
When it's your turn you get three words; pick one. If you don't pick within 15 seconds, one is picked for you.
Only you can see the word. Draw it with the pen: 8 colors, 3 sizes, undo and clear.
You score +3 for every player who gets it. The round ends when everyone has it or time runs out.
Everyone takes a turn; the settings choose whether each player draws once or twice.
Solo: guessing
Type a guess and send it; guesses are unlimited. Wrong guesses are visible to everyone.
Correct guesses are never shown: the feed just says "X got it!". Points go by order: 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, then 3.
If you're very close (a letter or two off), only you are told "So close!", and players who haven't solved it can't see that guess.
Once you've got the word, anything you type is only shown to the artist and other solvers, so nobody can leak it.
The blanks show the word's length, and a few letters are revealed as time runs down (not for very short words).
Team mode
Each round both teams' artists draw the SAME word at the SAME time. First team to guess it +2; the other team +1 if they get it before time is up.
You watch your own team's drawing live and type guesses. Wrong guesses only go to your team.
The rival drawing is HIDDEN during the round, so nobody can copy it. You only see whether the rival team has got it and how many guesses they've made.
The artist role rotates through each team. After the last round, the team with the most points wins.
End of round
The word is revealed to everyone. In Team mode both drawings appear side by side.
Give a heart to the drawings you like (not your own).
When everyone taps Ready, the next round starts.
At the end: the ranking and a gallery of the most-loved drawings.
FAQ
How do you play?
Create a room, share the link, pick Sketch Race and choose a mode. In Solo, one player draws each round while everyone types guesses; early guesses score more. In Team mode both teams' artists draw the same word at once; the first team to get it scores +2, the other +1. At the end you get a ranking and a gallery of the most-loved drawings.
How many players?
Solo mode: 3 to 12, no teams needed. Team mode: 4 to 12 with at least 2 per team; teams are picked in the lobby and the host can shuffle them with one tap.
How does scoring work in Solo mode?
Players who guess the word score by order: 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, then 3. The artist scores +3 for every correct guesser. The round ends when everyone has it or time runs out, and everyone takes a turn drawing.
Can I see the rival drawing in Team mode?
Not during the round: it's hidden so nobody can copy it. You only see whether the rival team has got it and how many guesses they've made. Both drawings are revealed side by side when the round ends.
Can I write words while drawing?
No. Letters, numbers and symbols are not allowed; pictures only. If you're in the same room, the artist doesn't talk or act it out either.
What can I change?
The mode (Solo or Team), drawing time (60, 80 or 100 seconds), whether everyone draws once or twice, difficulty (mixed, easy, hard), optional categories and the word language (English, Spanish or Turkish).
Is it the same as Gartic or skribbl?
It's inspired by the same classic idea: one person draws, the others guess. The rules, Team mode and design are Toyla's own; Toyla is independent and not affiliated with Gartic, skribbl, Pictionary or their owners.
