Fast Forward: guess the sped up song

The song starts, but at triple speed: squeaky voice, racing melody. Do you know it? In Fast Forward everyone hears the same song at the same moment and guesses both the artist and the title. They go in separate boxes and score separately, so you might know the artist but not the title, or the other way round.

If nobody gets it, the song drops a speed: 3.0x, 2.2x, 1.6x, 1.25x and finally normal speed. Each speed lasts 15 seconds, and if everyone still guessing presses Pass it slows down right away. The faster it plays when you get it, the more points: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, plus 1 for being first on each part.

In the lobby, pick a list: Local, International or Mixed, and 8, 12 or 16 songs. The English list is packed with songs everyone knows, from Queen and Michael Jackson to Taylor Swift and The Weeknd, plus global hits. The reveal shows the cover and a link to the full song.

FAQ

How do you play?

Create a room, share the link and pick Fast Forward. The song plays for everyone at the same time at triple speed. Type the artist and the title in their boxes and press Enter. If nobody gets it, the song slows down.

How does scoring work?

Each part scores by the speed when you got it: 5 at 3.0x, 4 at 2.2x, 3 at 1.6x, 2 at 1.25x, 1 at normal speed. The first player to get the artist, and the first to get the title, earn +1 each.

I can't hear anything. What now?

Phone browsers may block sound until you tap the page. Tap the "Turn sound on" button. If the sound toggle at the top of the game is off, the music is off too.

Where do the songs come from?

The game plays official 30-second previews from Apple Music; we don't host any audio. After each song, "Listen on Apple Music" takes you to the full track.
