Tier Talk: a group tier list game for friends

Is cheesecake S tier? Does Monday deserve a D? In Tier Talk each round brings a topic: desserts, street food, days of the week, vacation types, childhood games. On their own phone, everyone secretly sorts the topic's 6-8 items into S, A, B, C and D. Tap an item, tap its tier; on a computer, just drag and drop.

When everyone is ready, the tiers open: the group's shared tier list (average tier per item), who put each item where, and highlights. “Most divisive: pineapple, from S to D”, “Everyone said S: pancakes”, “Only one to put fries in D: Sam”. Then the conversation starts; the host moves on to the next topic.

No points, no winner: instead of a ranking, the game ends with titles. Tier twins (the pair with the most similar lists), odd one out, most generous and toughest critic. Made for tier list fans; play in the same room or on a video call. Create a room, share the link, 2-12 players join.

FAQ

How do you play?

Create a room, share the link and pick Tier Talk. Each round brings a topic with 6-8 items; everyone secretly puts each item in a tier (S is best, D is worst) and taps Ready. After 90 seconds, or when everyone is ready, the tiers open and you see the group's list and who put what where.

Are there points or a winner?

No. Tier Talk is a conversation game: there are no right answers, the point is to see each other's taste and talk about it. Instead of a ranking, the game ends with titles: tier twins, odd one out, most generous and toughest critic.

How do I rank items on a phone?

Tap an item, then tap its tier. Once it's placed, the next item is selected automatically, so you can sort a whole topic with a few taps. Drag and drop works on a computer. You can only tap Ready once every item has a tier.

How is it different from tier list websites?

On tier list maker sites you build a list alone. In Tier Talk everyone ranks the same topic at the same time and in secret, then the group's shared list is revealed. Toyla is independent and not affiliated with any tier list website or app.
